| About Emu
The emu is one of the five flightless birds known as ratites. Their native country is Australia. Emu are the second largest bird in the world, the Ostrich being the first, followed by the Cassowaries, Rhea and Kiwi.
Emu are 95% usable. Products include Meat (a low fat and low cholesterol red meat), Oil (a highly penetrating, non-toxic moisturizer, and all natural supplement for the skin), Leather (a soft, supple, durable hide with a very distinctive quill pattern, used for the high fashion industry in products such as jackets, boots, belts, gloves, and accessories), Feathers (designer evening wear, hats & trim, fishing lures, high tech. environments for delicate cleaning, and final dusting automobiles prior to painting), Eggshells and Claws (can be carved into jewelry and decorative items).

| Emu eggs are dark green, averaging 5 inches long and weighing approximately 800 grams. Empty eggs are used by artists to make painted, carved, and decorated art work. Emu chicks wear their strips for about 3-4 months after hatch.
